Valentine’s Day Install Photos at Detroit Photo Studio

Welcome to the dreamiest space to capture your Valentine’s Day content or client photos. Enjoy this installation until January 16th at the end of the day.

After some consideration, we decided to move forward with the installation. Although we had initially thought about waiting until our planned Mother’s Day installation since the holiday decor recently came down, we didn’t want to delay implementing the new design idea we had in mind.

The installation will remain up until the end of the day on February 16th. One of the great aspects of this setup is that it utilizes an area that was previously underused (the XOXO section). The second part of the installation replaces the spot where the orange couch used to be, which has now been relocated to the larger space on the right (more on that shortly).

When you arrive at the studio, the hanging print section of the installation will be set up, but the prints themselves won’t be hung. Instead, you’ll find them in a cotton basket for you to arrange as you wish. We recommend hanging 3–5 prints per row (no more than 5). There are wooden clothespins or metal binder clips available for you to use.

After your session in that area, we ask that you remove the prints. With the prints down, this space can be used for branding sessions, non-Valentine’s-themed shoots, and more.

The other area (the XOXO scroll section) is perfect for portraits and smaller groups, as it measures just over 5 feet. The movable wall is located to the right of this space, with the air mattress stored behind it. If you need a wider shot, the wall can easily be moved out of the way.

This area works well with stools and can also feature our new bench/couch, which will be available in the studio starting Monday, January 13th.

Beyond these two areas, there are additional spaces in the studio to create content, even if you want to avoid the Valentine’s decor. The front window area can easily be made neutral by removing the pillows—just be sure to return them neatly for the next visitor.

Below are photos of the air mattress setup. While the mattress can be placed anywhere in the studio, the photos show it in the front left corner. A white comforter and white pillows are available for use with the mattress. If it needs a bit more air, the pump is built into the mattress for easy inflation.

On Saturday, January 18th, we’re hosting a studio open house and a styled session to showcase the new decor. As of this blog post, there’s one slot left for the styled session, but the open house is open to unlimited visitors.
