The Studio

Well, we are here! We haven’t arrived but we feel like it. Life is a journey, right? Also, so is business ownership.

March of 2024 we opened the doors to our flagship location in North Corktown, and we never anticipated opening a second location until we saw the space we are now calling home to our second Detroit photo studio. We first saw it in the fall of 2024, and weren’t sure what the intention was, but we talked to a commercial agent, and checked out the space.

Sitting at a dinner with other women in business, we presented what we were considering (shout out to Detroit Mastermind Club) and after during the dinner a friend, Brooke Rozzie asked the question, “If you had no fear what would you do?” The answer was clear: we would open the space in West Village. Chanel Shaba was also at this dinner and she has a lot of experience in commercial real estate and she was able to be a sounding board for us during the negations and process.

The spring of 2025 we proceeded with the space, and obtained the keys this fall.

We are excited to present to you Gold & Grit Studio West Village, our second photo and content studio.

We hope to have you visit soon, November 22nd we are hosting an event with programming from 11am-8pm.
